At the close of business on December 31, 2005, Wynne Sedan & Limousine
Group (Wynne) posted a 200% increase in revenues from the previous
year. In the nearly fifteen (15) years that Wynne has been in
business, it has never experienced a loss or a downturn in revenues.
Wynne Sedan & Limousine Group is comprised of ADL International,
Adams' Gold Star Limousines, Anytime Limousines, First Choice,
Wynne Transportation, Ultra Limousines, and most recently Metro
Limousines. Combined these companies and Wynne’s affiliate
network provide executive chauffeured transportation services
in over 450 cities worldwide. Wynne is an independent Certified
Women Owned Business (W/MBE).
In the June 2005 issue of Limousine Chauffeur Transportation
(LCT) Wynne was recognized as being the industry’s 60th
largest operator. Wynne has also award in November 2005 the “Community
Service Award” from LimoDigest for Wynne’s efforts
during the immediate aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Wynne has been prominently mentioned in the December 2003, June
2004 and June 2005 issues of Business Travel Executive (BTE)
magazine. The December 2003 issue concentrated on “On-Line,
Real-Time Ground Transportation Reservation Systems. Wynne was
one of only five (5) national ground chauffeured transportation
companies that BTE felt warranted being reviewed and highlighted
in their magazine.
The June 2004 issue concentrated on the effects of September
11, 2001, rising insurance and energy costs were having on the
ground transportation industry. Again, Wynne was one four industry
leader firms to be interviewed and quoted in this issue.
The June 2005 issue concentrated on the use of Requests For
Proposals (RFP) and Reverse Auctions by major corporations purchase
chauffeured transportation services. In particular, these corporations
are using RFPs to better understanding the ground transportation
industry confusing practice of murky “Add-On” pricing.
Especially, the use of STC’s which is some times call a “Surface
Transportation Charge” and other time a “STocking
Charge”, but is reality nothing more than a “Add-On” fee.
Wynne’s founder and president, Ms. Joan J. Wynne was recognized
in December 2003 for her business acumen and entrepreneurial
expertise by being asked to be on the Advisory Board of the University
of Dallas’ Graduate School’s Entrepreneurial Studies
Program. The University of Dallas’ MBA programs graduate
more MBA in the Dallas / Fort Worth area than any other university
in North Texas. Their Entrepreneurial Studies Program is patterned
after the world renowned MBA program at Babson College in Wellesley,
Massachusetts. Ms. Wynne has been featured in several magazine
articles including the January 2004 issue of Boulevard Magazine
at the June/July issue of Women’s Enterprise (WE). In the
past, Wynne Sedan & Limousine Group has been featured in
several articles in The Dallas Business Journal, and Conde Nast
Traveler magazines and the Dallas Morning News, and its Director
of Business Development, Mr. Phillip Capers, is frequently quoted
in industry magazines.
Wynne continues its active membership in the Meeting Professional
International (MPI) the National Business Travel Association
(NTBA) with Wynne’s Director of Special Events, Mr. Bedford
S. Wynne, Jr., being elected to the Dallas Chapter of MPI’s
Board of Directors. Wynne is also very active in the Dallas and
Fort Worth Convention and Visitor Bureaus. These memberships
further to expand and solidify Wynne's leadership role in the
Specialty or Large Event transportation industry segment.
